Role of Telecommunication and Its Impact on Societies

Communication done by cable, telegraph, telephone, or broadcasting is called Telecommunication. Starting from a cable-connected telephone now it has taken the shape of wireless mobiles. Before the start of the 20th century, it was very difficult to communicate with loved ones living in abroad or even outside the city of the same country. But now the communication process with loved ones is just a click away from mobile.

Technological revolution not only brings advancement in communication but also facilitates societies in terms of other factors related to facilitation and enhancing the living standards of communities and societies. These facilities now become the necessity of our lives as food. If something gets so much involvement in the lives. So, it becomes important to raise awareness about it from time to time.

17th of May is named as Telecommunication and information society day on the Rolls of the UN with the theme of “Digital technologies for Older persons and Healthy Ageing” this year. This theme highlights the importance of using Information and communication technologies to remain healthy, independent, and connected on a financial, physical, and emotional level.
