Everyone Should Be Free to Speak

 

The creature of human being loves to live with freedom. It is a right to them that no one can influence their activities by any means. Humans can cooperate with each other but stopping others on the basis of any reason is considered an offense.

But it is observed in our societies that those who have the authority of any upper position always try to interfere and influence the lives of the people under them. Such as the case of press media, they face many difficulties in conveying the real picture of any happening.

UNESCO provides recommendations for issues that are faced by journalists, reporters, and news anchors. After that UN general assembly recognized the 3rd of May to be observed as press Freedom Day internationally. The purpose of celebrating this day is to give the right to speak freely to each person relates to press media and pay tribute to those journalists who lost their lives in this profession.

Press media plays an important role in the mind mapping of people. Now the news is listened by a large portion of the population of the world. So, if the media inputs wrong information deliberately or due to any reason that can cause serious tension among the public. It is observed that media is influenced by political interference most of the time. They use it to spread only the news which is beneficial for them.

Any interference in the right to speak freely should be discouraged on every platform. And culprits should be behind the bars to convey smooth and true reporting to the public. Stand by the stance of the UN and play your part to get the freedom of speech not only for the press but also for the common public of the countries.
